The IOB community is surrounded on two sides by Corpus Christi Bay, and the owners along the waterfront enjoy fabulous sunrises and sunsets, wind surfing and wonderful fishing. The very small town is home to one Bed and Breakfast named OUR Place on the Bay, and one private marina residents enjoy.
Ingleside Beach Club in IOB is a private club that offers members terrific fishing, dinners and activities as well as pool and beach access.


The City of Ingleside on the Bay is the least populated city in San Patricio County. As of the 2010 Census, the population was 615 people, .89% of the county’s total population.

Educational Attainment

Ingleside Independent School District consists of five campuses: Ingleside Primary (PK-1), Gilbert J. Microvich Elementary (6-8), Blaschke / Sheldon Elementary (5-6), Leon Taylor Junior High School (7-8) and Ingleside High School (9-12). The district, as a whole, as well as each individual campus “Met Standard” on the State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness – one of the ways in which school districts in Texas are evaluated.
